Cidepe congratulates everyone who stands by its side on this Friendship Day.

Inspired by the event of man's arrival on the Moon, the Argentinian doctor Enrique Ernesto Febbaro, on July 20, 1969, decided to send 4000 letters to his friends and acquaintances, with the aim of creating Friendship Day. Over time, this action led several countries besides Argentina, such as Uruguay, Brazil and Mozambique, to want to participate and celebrate the date. Even speaking different languages, the participants hoped that the involvement would break down all barriers in relationships between people. It is important to point out that although July 20th is the official date, in Brazil it is also popularly celebrated on April 18th.
